On November 3rd, The Daily Mail published an article linking West Ham United with various transfer targets for the winter window and beyond.

One of the men named was Diego Demme.

He’s a 26 year old midfielder of the defensive variety and has been at RB Leipzig since a 2014 move from SC Paderborn.

Making 12 appearances so far this season, 11 of those as a starter, Demme is a key player for the Bundesliga club, so they wouldn’t be overly keen to see him leave unless for a good fee.

Added to that is his contract running until 2021, meaning there’s no great pressure in that regard.

Calciomercato have now got in on the act and also claim West Ham are keen. They bring Watford into the story and say both Premier League clubs ‘move’ for the player.

Demme is a ‘goal’ of Watford and the Hammers, according to the report, but there’s no further information added.

With Demme getting games and playing in Europe, he too would have to be convinced over a move, presumably with big piles of Premier League money.
