According to a claim in the Italian media, Watford are in the race to sign Inter Milan forward George Puscas.

The Serie A side could look to sell the Romania international in this transfer window and the Premier League club are in the mix to sign the player.

FC Inter News report five clubs are chasing the 22 year which includes Leganes, Valladolid, Mainz, and Watford. It’s claimed Puscas’ future will be resolved within the next week and Watford will be hoping the influence of the Pozzo family in Italian football will give them an edge over rival clubs.

Watford yesterday confirmed the signing of Ken Sema from Swedish side OFK, but it’s clear more players will arrive at Virage Road before the transfer window closes.

Puscas spent a season in the Inter Milan youth academy, but he’s played just four Serie A games for the Italian giants.

In his five years at the San Siro the young forward has been loaned out to a host of Italian clubs and last season he was leased to Benevento.

The player is contracted to Inter Milan until June 2020.
