According to TRT Spor’s Firat Gunayer, Besiktas are interested in signing Stefano Okaka before the transfer window in Turkey shuts today.

We covered initial claims from Turkey that the Italian striker is a target for the Turkish side and Gunayer said he’s the only striker on their list on deadline day.

Okaka hasn’t been a part of Watford’s squad so far this season, as he’s surplus to requirements under Marco Silva and his brother has openly spoken about their search for an exit avenue.

After a loan spell at Udinese last season, where he scored 6 goals in 16 appearances, the player could move to Turkey for another temporary move.

Previous reports suggested that a deal had been reached between the two sides and we will find out today whether he will join the club or not as this is the last chance for Besiktas to improve their squad until January.

The four time Italy international is under contract at Watford until June 2021.
