Watford winger Ignacio Pussetto is finalising his transfer out of the club, according to reports.
Argentine outlet TyC Sports writes that the 27-year-old is ready to join Huracan on a free deal.
It’s claimed that Pussetto is breaking his contract with Watford, which was supposed to run until 2024, and agreeing the move to his home country.
The player is expected to have his medicals and sign an 18-month deal in the ‘coming hours’.
Watford signed Pussetto back in January 2020, when buying him from Udinese on an €8.5m deal.
The Hornets never made big use of him, though. He spent those first six months sloaned at the Serie A side, and even after his arrival at Vicarage Road, he only made nine appearances for the English club, with no goals scored.
In January 2022, he was sent on loan to Sampdoria, where he stayed until this summer. In all this period, he only made six appearance’s and that’s why there wasn’t exactly a big race to get him signed in this window.
Now Watford are letting him leave for free, as he gets to try his luck in his home country.
