There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Watford defender Wesley Hoedt is on the verge of joining Trabzonspor.
The Dutchman has been linked with the Super Lig side in recent days as he eyes a move to Turkey.
Dirilis Postasi have today reported on the latest developments regarding Trabzonspor’s pursuit of Hoedt and they say an agreement has been made with the player his club.
Trabzonspor have made it one of their priorities to bring in an experienced centre back this summer and it now seems Hoedt will be that man.
It’s claimed the Watford player is expected to arrive in Turkey in the next few days and that his transfer will be officially announced.
A few days ago, we covered reports from Turkey that Trabzonspor were in talks with Watford with regards to Hoebt. It was reported the two clubs were in negotiations over his transfer fee, with the Trabzonspor asking for a lower figure.
It now seems this has been agreed on, paving the way for him to join the Turkish side.
