Watford’s Yaser Asprilla is travelling to Spain for a medical with Girona after an agreement was reached between the two sides.
That’s according to journalist Julian Capera, who reports that the midfielder is on his way to Spain for his medical.
Reports throughout today have made it clear that Girona have targeted the Watford man as a replacement for Savinho following his move to Manchester City.
It was explained earlier in the day that the Spanish side had reached an agreement with the Championship club that would see them buy 80% of Asprilla’s rights for €20m.
This was later backed up by Girona based journalist Nil Sola, who reported an agreement was closed. He added that the Watford man was scheduled to arrive in Spain either tonight or tomorrow to undergo a medical and sign his contract.
Julian Capera now provides the latest update, reporting that the Colombian is travelling to Spain ahead of undergoing his medical.
He will sign a contract with Girona until June 2030 with the possibility of an extension included in that. He will also be the Spanish side’s highest purchase in their history.
