Cucho Hernández was included in Watford’s plans for the first time during the 2021/22 season, four years after they brought him from Granada.

The 23-year-old spent the previous four campaigns on loan at SD Huesca, Real Mallorca and Getafe, before being given a chance to prove himself at Vicarage Road in the recently concluded season.

He mainly operated on the right wing but was used across all three positions up front at Watford. The Colombia international has managed five goals and three assists from 28 matches in all competitions.

The Hornets finished the season in 19th spot and with that, their relegation from the top division has been confirmed.

Due to the English club’s drop from the Premier League and the player’s form, the latter has been ‘contacted by several clubs’ to find out the conditions to take him away from Watford.

This is according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, and he took to Twitter to make these claims.

Sierra didn’t provide any details of those clubs that have approached the South American, but he did state that Hernández ‘welcomes the transfer in the summer’.
