Watford loanee Kwadwo Baah received some bad news on Wednesday.
As reported by Bild, the player was diagnosed with a right thigh injury, and could be sidelined for six weeks.
Bild believe that means Baah may never play for Fortuna Düsseldorf again, since his loan from Watford expires in the summer.
When the clubs agreed the spell at the start of the season, they even included a €3.5m buying option in the deal, but according to Bild, that will not be triggered.
The outlet points out that this isn’t the only injury Baah suffered at Dusseldorf. He’d already hurt his left thigh at their training camp in Marbella and stayed out for nearly six weeks. Now after two weeks of training, he’s injured again.
That means the seven appearances the striker made in Bundesliga 2 will be all he’s done in his spell at the club, as he prepares for a return to Watford at the end of the season.
Signed from Rochdale in 2019, Baah never made his debut for the Hornets, where he has a contract running until 2026.
