Former Newcastle star Davide Santon could be leaving Inter this summer, as it’s quite clear he doesn’t feature in Roberto Mancini’s plans for next season.
Serie A clubs Bologna and Sampdoria are said to be interested in signing him on loan, and have already submitted their offers to Inter, but he could be returning to England.
According to Italian website FC Inter News, Watford have explored the possibility of signing Santon this summer.
Inter are yet to respond to loan offers from Bologna and Sampdoria, whilst Watford are yet to make an offer.
There is no mention if Watford would want to sign him on loan or on a permanent deal, but Inter would ideally want to offload him permanently.
The 25-year-old signed a three-year deal at the start of the season, when he joined from Newcastle in a €3.7m deal.
Santon has made just 12 appearances for Inter this season, and the player would also want to switch clubs for regular playing time.
