Last week, journalist Carlos Antonio Vélez reported Watford had sent scouts to watch Millonarios’ Carlos Andrés Gómez in action against Deportivo Pereira.
A new report from Antena 2 relays this claim and then provides an update about the 20-year-old, who is having ‘great performance’ for his side.
He’s managed to draw attention from other clubs but only Watford are mentioned in the report. It’s claimed the Hornets would be ‘interested’ in securing the winger’s services.
The Colombian signed an extension with his club in September and the new deal expires in December 2025. The report states he has a market value of €1m, but Millonarios could sell the player for a ‘higher figure’ if a club comes forward.
Regarding the Championship side, Antena 2 only cover their interest. They do not state whether Watford have the intention to make an offer to bring Carlos Andrés Gómez to Vicarage Road.
If Slaven Bilić’s side were to make a bid for the Colombian winger, then Millonarios would ‘analyse the offer’. There’s no mention what amount is considered as enough by the South American side.
