La Liga side Elche have decided to call off a friendly against Watford, according to claims from Spain.
As outlet AS today writes about the first matches that manager Pablo Machin will have in charge of the club, they list the friendly games which will take place before the league is resumed.
It’s said Elche were supposed to play Watford next Saturday. However, the manager chose to cancel that friendly, as he doesn’t feel like he’s had enough time to train the team, and there are too many players injured.
Machin took charge of the squad on the 17th of November, with a contract only until the end of the season. The club are bottom of La Liga, so the 47-year-old certainly has some hard work ahead to try and escape relegation.
Watford should now look for other adversaries to keep their form until the end of the World Cup break. The Hornets currently stand 4th in the Championship.
