Even though Watford winger Ignacio Pussetto has just returned to the club, it seems he may actually not find a place in the squad.
According to a report from Tutto Udinese, the player could return to Argentina, where he’s wanted by Racing.
Pussetto is officially a Watford player at this time, but the story says he’s actually training at Udinese, the other club from the Pozzo family.
It’s pointed out that the player ‘does not enter’ in either the Hornets’ plans or the Italian side’s, and that’s why a move to Argentine seems like a real possibility.
Watford bought Pussetto on a €8.5m deal from Udinese in January 2020. In October that year, they ended up loaning him back to the Serie A side.
Despite his return to the Hornets last summer, they decided not to make use of him, and he was sent to Sampdoria on another loan deal.
Now it seems clear that Watford don’t see him playing for the club going forward, so a permanent move away would be no surprise, as his contract with them expires next year.
