Fiorentina have joined the race to sign Deportivo La Coruna forward Florin Andone, according to claims in the Spanish press. The Romanian has been linked with a move to Watford in recent days, but they could be deterred by the player’s buy-out clause.

Marca have reported Fiorentina are the latest club to show an interest in Andone, following claims Watford and Sporting Lisbon are also monitoring the forward. The Italian club are prepared to pay around €12m for Andone.

However, this reported offer is  below Andone’s termination clause, which is said to be €30m.

This week we covered reports Watford had concerns about the Romania international’s buy out clause, and even though Deportivo La Coruna would accept €20m the Premier League side still think this is too much.

The Spanish side are reluctant to accept anything less than €20m because 30% of the transfer fee needs to be paid to Andone’s former club Cordoba. Unless Deportivo La Coruna drop their valuation, Watford may need to look elsewhere this summer.
