Watford forward Gerard Deulofeu is on the verge of completing a move to Italian side Udinese.

That’s according to Sky Sport Italy and Calciomercato.it, who both say the Spaniard is close to leave Vicarage Road.

Sky’s info comes via Gianluca di Marzio, who says that Deulofeu is ‘coming’ to Udinese, while Calciomercato’s is via journalist Alessio Lento.

The latter adds a little more information than his counterpart, stating that the move is ‘near the dock’ – read that as nearly completed – and he will be arriving on a ‘dry loan formula’ from Watford.

That’s all either can offer on the move at present, but it appears to be close to completion and the Pozzo family have worked a nice deadline day Pozzo special between their two clubs.

Deulofeu’s departure will not come as a surprise at Watford, with the player having made it clear he wanted out since the Hornets’ relegation from the Premier League last season.

It now remains to be seen if he can hit the ground running like he did the last time he was in Italy when he made a big impression during a loan spell with AC Milan.
