Watford could make an attempt to sign Venezia’s Thomas Henry this summer, according to claims coming out of Italy today.

The striker left Belgian side OH Leuven and made a switch to Italy last summer. In his debut season, he managed 12 goals and three assists from 38 matches. However, that wasn’t sufficient to help the club avoid the drop from Serie A.

Venezia’s relegation will open door for other clubs, including Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers, to take the 27-year-old away from his current employer.

That’s according to Corriere del Veneto, who explain the Hornets ‘could also make an offer’ for him.

That’s about the only piece of information the newspaper has to mention about Watford, who were relegated from the Premier League. There isn’t any indication of what fee they are ready to offer for the player.

Venezia are ready to part ways with the Frenchman in the summer window and to do that, they ‘ask for €15m’.
