Fiorentina face a risk of losing Nicolò Fagioli to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The midfielder initially joined the Serie A side on loan from Juventus in February 2025 and made his stay permanent later that year.

He enjoyed a good run this season, managing three goals and three assists from 45 matches and attracting interest from Tottenham and other clubs.

On March 2nd, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy that Spurs and Newcastle United initiated contact.

Tottenham threat for La Viola

Fast forward to June and Roberto De Zerbi’s side still maintain interest in the 25-year-old.

That’s according to Firenze Viola, who only mention Tottenham Hotspur in their report.

Nicolò Fagioli had a standout season with Fiorentina, showcasing his abilities and meeting the club’s expectations.

La Viola sporting director Fabio Paratici heaped praise on him, insisted he’s a Barcelona-worthy player.

When Corriere della Sera asked whether Fiorentina can retain Moise Kean, he said: “I hope so. He has a significant release clause, but in Europe they know his value. And I’d add Fagioli’s name, a midfielder from Barcelona who plays in Italy.”

The Italy international is untouchable for Fiorentina, but only until a certain point as they will consider monster bids.

There are several clubs interested in the former Juventus man. The Italian club, who have to handle his case with caution, have to ‘watch out for Tottenham’.

The north London club are one of the contenders and their interest forces La Viola to act. The latter have set a price between €25-30m for Fagioli, who earns €1.8m net per year.

Spurs won’t consider this as a monster price and it’s certainly affordable for them. There’s no mention of other suitors, but the outlet ends their report by stating ‘it might be a hot summer for Fagioli.’

Contract, value and agent info

The midfielder’s contract expires in 2028 and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €16m.

He recently changed agents and is now represented by Branchini Associati, owned by Italian agent Giovanni Branchini.
