Last week, Corriere dello Sport stated Liverpool have already ‘taken the first steps’ to sign Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners in the summer.
Adrien Rabiot and Leandro Paredes are set to leave Juventus after this season. This, coupled with Paul Pogba’s injury woes, has seen them look for a new midfielder.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who state Koopmeiners’ name is on top of Juve’s list and the latter are joined by Liverpool and Napoli in the transfer race.
Juve are in the process of bringing Napoli sporting Cristiano Giuntoli to the club. He’s been following the Netherlands international for the past few years and is aiming to sign him for the Old Lady.
Napoli aren’t willing to give up and are ready to challenge their Serie A rivals for the 25-year-old.
Koopmeiners has a contract lasting until 2025, with an option to extend it by a year. He’s valued at around €35-40m and Juve could try to lower the price by including one of their players as part of the deal.
It’s said Juventus must ‘watch out for Liverpool’ as Jürgen Klopp’s side are keen to sign the Dutchman in the summer.
Meanwhile, Tutto Atalanta state Juve will try seriously for the player despite him having a valuation of over €35m and ‘competition from the Premier League’.
