Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir arrived at Old Trafford from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023 and made one appearance for the Red Devils last season.
That came against Newport County when Erik ten Hag was in charge and the 26-year-old’s situation hasn’t improved since Ruben Amorim replaced the Dutchman in November.
The stopper has made three appearances for Manchester United this season and all of those were in the EFL Cup.
Due to the Turkey international’s limited game time in his debut season, he had several options to leave the Premier League side last summer.
Bayindir’s agent Sefa Seyrek has revealed this during an interview with Sports Digitale, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to relay his comments. The representative has also stated there were offers from England, without revealing the details of these clubs.
“Altay had offers from many European clubs and the Premier League at the beginning of the season,” he said.
The agent claims clubs are still keen on taking the player away from Manchester United in this ongoing window, but his client and the club aren’t keen on a move.
“There are clubs interested in Altay now, but Altay wants to stay and play at Manchester United. The club definitely doesn’t want to let Altay go,” Seyrek explained.
Bayindir is likely to continue as a backup for Onana at Manchester United.
