Watford have been strongly linked with a move for Juventus star Roberto Pereyra, who is expected to leave the Serie A club this summer.

A couple of days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Watford are ready to offer €16m to Juventus for Pereyra, and that the player’s representatives are expected to meet tomorrow in Spain to discuss their offer.

On Monday, Gazzetta don’t have an update on the meeting, but reiterate Watford’s desire to sign the Argentine playmaker.

Gazzetta say Walter Mazzarri absolutely wants Pereyra at Watford, and a deal could be completed for €15m- €16m.

The Argentine international managed just 16 appearances last season due to an injury, and Juventus are reportedly keen on offloading him this summer.

The 25-year-old signed for Juventus in a €14m deal from Udinese last summer, after impressing during his loan spell at the Turin club in 2014/15 season.
