One month after leaving Wolves, Vítor Pereira is already back in the frame for a major job in Brazil. His name has emerged at Grêmio, as reported by Portal do Gremista, just as the Porto Alegre club prepare for a structural reset ahead of 2026.

The report states that incoming club president is evaluating several profiles for the new cycle and is open to hiring a foreign manager. Pereira features on that list. His availability is a decisive factor, since he is a free agent and could negotiate without complications if Grêmio choose to move forward.

The club made a decisive call early in November, and most fans accepted that the cycle had reached its limit. Pereira left Wolves in early November after a historically poor start to their Premier League campaign.

Yet, the Brazilian market still sees him as a high-level option. His previous spells at Corinthians and Flamengo, combined with a long European career, continue to carry weight.

Grêmio have not made a final decision. The new president’s assessment will guide the next steps, and other candidates remain under review. The direction of the club’s 2026 project should become clearer in the coming weeks.
