Arsenal are the leading candidate to sign Vinícius Júnior while his Real Madrid remains uncertain.
The forward’s contract expires in 2027 and he hasn’t agreed an extension. The Gunners are looking to capitalise on that to bring him to the Emirates this summer.

Arsenal keen on Brazilian
Earlier this week, the Brazil international returned to the club after the summer break. The parties want to continue beyond 2027, but there’s no agreement yet for a renewal.
Cadena Ser claims Los Blancos have offered him a contract until 2031 worth €22m per year, after tax. However, Vinícius Júnior has rejected it and is demanding €30m annually.
The state: ‘As a solution, other options are being considered to try and increase the percentage of income the player receives from sponsorships or image rights, bringing it closer to €30m.’
For now, his future is uncertain and there are other clubs keen on signing him. Among those, Arsenal are the most interested. However, the Emirates club haven’t made an offer or held formal talks with the 26-year-old.
Cadena Ser ends their report by stating: ‘The meeting in the coming hours will be crucial for the player’s future, while the major football powers watch closely.’
What consultant has said about Arsenal
Vinícius Júnior’s image consultant Edu Peixoto spoke to 365 Scores, relayed by Sport, about the Gunners claims and the Real Madrid renewal.
He says Mikel Arteta’s side “have not submitted any official offer” for the South American.
The consultant also revealed there has been no progress in extending his contract with José Mourinho’s side.
“At the moment, there is nothing concrete about Vinícius’ future at Real Madrid, and there are no updates to report regarding his contract renewal,” Peixoto explained.
The lack of progress in the renewal negotiations could force the La Liga side to sell him this summer. This, in return, would favour Arsenal to secure his services.
