Tanguy Ndombélé was one of the players to arrive at Galatasaray in the last window, when they signed him on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
Takvim state the 26-year-old’s arrival ‘created a great impact’ at the Istanbul club, but he has failed to live up to the expectations so far.
The Tottenham owned player has clocked in 123 minutes from seven appearances this season, which includes only one start.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk doesn’t have faith in the midfielder which is why he tried to block his signing.
The Turkish champions shifted their focus to Ndombélé after they failed in their efforts to sign Lazio’s Matías Vecino in the summer window.
It’s claimed the coach didn’t want the Frenchman after going through his ‘psychological and mental reports’, and this is the reason he ‘vetoed Ndombélé twice’. However, that didn’t have any impact as Galatasaray went ahead and signed him from Tottenham.
Galatasaray have an option to make Ndombélé’s stay permanent for €15m but Takvim say there’s a ‘high possibility’ of him leaving Istanbul.
This comes a day after Fotospor reported Galatasaray are considering terminating his loan deal in January. It was also explained that they are worried about the Tottenham man being overweight.
