Famalicão remain interested in signing Uros Racic from West Bromwich Albion, but accept he is a ‘very difficult desire’ for them.

That’s according to Record, who say the Portuguese side would be happy to bring him back to the club this month if they can.

They report that Famalicão are ‘one the field’ trying to find a way to make the midfielder’s return to the club viable for them. They’re doing this knowing from the outset it will be a difficult task.

The deal is dependent on many variables, starting with the fact Racic is currently on loan at West Brom from Sassuolo.

West Brom would need to accept that loan deal being ended early and only at that point will it be possible for Famalicão to discuss a deal with Sassuolo.

Even if that particular obstacle is moved out of the way, there will still be ‘following barriers’ in front of the Portuguese club that they’ll have to overcome.

But, it seems they are willing to try and hurdle them as much as possible. It all starts with West Brom sanctioning the early end of Racic’s loan deal.

Whether they are willing to do so remains to be seen and could be an early decision for new manager Tony Mowbray to make in his reign.
