On July 30th, Foot Mercato stated Troyes have accepted Burnley’s proposal to sign Wilson Odobert.

The 18-year-old is now edging closer to completing a move to Turf Moor if Le Parisien journalist Benjamin Quarez is to be believed.

He states the forward will travel to England later today to undergo medical tests with Burnley.

If the formalities are concluded without any problems, the France U19 international will then sign a five-year deal with the Clarets. The journalist adds Troyes will collect €12m excluding bonuses from his sale to the Premier League side.

Troyes signed the player on a free transfer last summer and are set to make a huge profit from his sale, especially considering they were relegated from Ligue 1 last season.

Operating on both wings and also as an attacking midfielder, he scored seven goals and registered two assists from 39 games.

Odobert’s versatility would please Vincent Kompany as it will give the manager more options in attack.

The teenager is a product of PSG’s youth system and after spending a year at Troyes, he will continue his career in England.
