Arsenal have been heavily linked to Valencia’s Skhodran Mustafi in the last few days, after injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel.
The Gunners reportedly haven’t placed a bid yet, and Valencia aren’t too keen on selling Mustafi either. However, it turns out Arsenal have been offered an opportunity to sign another defender from Valencia.
According to Valencia based website Super Deporte, Valencia’s director of football, García Pitarch, is trying to find an English club for Aymen Abdennour, and had offered the player to Arsenal last week.
Super Deporte say Pitarch had several meetings in London, and is actively looking for a club who will buy Abdennour. However, it’s been reported there have been no offers or interest from any clubs for Abdennour, which isn’t really helpful for the Spanish club.
The Tunisian international signed for Valencia last summer in a €22m deal, and has another four years left on his contract.
