The Daily Shkodran Mustafi isn’t the most positive news for Arsenal fans. Of all the Valencia media outlets, Plaza Deportiva has perhaps been the most enthusiastic about a possible Premier League move for the defender.

They’ve believed reports from the English and German media about offers being made and a transfer being close, and for around week they seemed to be of the mind a move was on the verge of being done, but there’s only so long that can carry on.

However, now even Plaza Deportiva seem to have come to a realisation that despite how obvious the transfer looks for all involved, especially Arsenal, nothing can be done until the offer is on the table.

It’s explained that no Arsenal offer has ‘materialised’ for Mustafi, despite all the claims. Plaza Deportiva then say that Valencia want a fee of more than €30m, and that Arsene Wenger doesn’t appear convinced enough to spend that.

Other options are brought in, and Plaza Deportiva now say this is all holding up Valencia’s own business.
