As you might have heard, Besiktas made the radical decision to sideline five foreign players over the weekend after some poor performances, including Eric Bailly, who joined from Manchester United in the summer.

The Red Devils allowed him to end his contract a year early for him to get his move after it was clear Erik ten Hag would not be using him this season, but everything has gone pear shaped.

Now, as more reports are written in Turkey about the former Manchester United man, claims are being made, such as one by Tele1, that the centre-back’s ‘undisciplined behaviour’ has led to reactions from the club.

It’s recalled he was sent away by Besiktas’ technical director Burak Yilmaz ‘after an altercation with Tayfur Bingöl’ at half-time in a game with Antalyaspor.

He also handed two penalties to Fenerbahçe in their most recent clash, as well as missing ‘six matches due to injuries’.

That last part will be nothing new to Manchester United fans, who had to deal with Bailly’s constant setbacks during his time at Old Trafford.

Sabah go one further on Tuesday, adding that the player has ‘communication problems with his teammates’ and it was also stated that he was ‘in constant pain’, and ‘made excuses about injuries in some matches, depending on his mood’.

In short, it seems Manchester United got rid of Bailly at the right time after a tough loan at Marseille during the last campaign.
