Antonio Conte would be the ‘perfect coach’ for Juventus moving forwards and would leave Tottenham because of the project on offer in Italy.
That’s according to journalist Massimo Brambati, who believes Conte would be tempted by a return to his former club.
The Tottenham manager has been linked with the Juventus job for several months, with pressure increasing on Massimiliano Allegri after a disappointing start to the season.
That pressure grew this week after Juventus failed to reach the Champions League knockout stages, a further disappointment in an increasingly poor run of results for Allegri and his team.
Conte is believed to be at the top of the list of possible replacements and a report today even stated that his repaired relationship with Juventus’ hierarchy could facilitate a move.
For it to happen he would have to leave Tottenham, where he has been since last year and is slowly building a team to compete alongside Fabio Paratici.
Spurs have backed him heavily, but he is yet to commit to them full-term, with his current deal expiring in the summer.
And Brambati believes he would be tempted by the return to Juventus, for whom he would be ‘perfect’.
“He doesn’t go where it suits him,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He goes where he understands that there is a project and something can be built, where he sees that there is human material on which to build something.
“I think he would be the perfect coach at Juve today, because he is good at rebuilding from the rubble, and he knows Juventus and its environment like no other.”
