According to a claim in the Greek media, Daniel Podence could remain with Olympiacos, with his proposed move to Wolverhampton Wanderers under threat.

Information coming from the Olympiacos camp, as reported by Sport 24, says an agreement hasn’t been reached despite reports a deal was all but done.

It’s reported talks between Wolves and Olympiacos haven’t progressed as expected, and there’s a danger the player will not moving to England in this transfer window.

Reports from Greek press last week stated the player was flying to England for a medical at the weekend as he edged closer to joining the Premier League side.

Wolves were reportedly looking to sign Podence for a transfer fee which could reach €28m. Despite this setback there may still be developments in the coming days, and a move to Wolves isn’t ruled out.

Podence was part of Olympiacos’ travelling squad for the game against AEK yesterday but wasn’t considered for the starting team or bench.
