Loïc Badé has been linked to Aston Villa throughout the winter market and earlier claims stated Sevilla want at least €20m.

Two days ago, Marca stated the La Liga side are asking for €30m and this has seen Aston Villa director Monchi look for alternatives. It was backed up by media local to Sevilla as they try to squeeze the Villans.

On Wednesday, Mucho Deporte reported the 24-year-old isn’t keen on joining Aston Villa. This is now echoed up by another local outlet ABC Sevilla, who brings the latest on this case.

The La Liga side value the defender at least at €25m excluding bonuses and are refusing to lower their request. In addition to this, Badé has insisted he won’t push for a move to Villa Park.

Again, it feels like ABC Sevilla are confusing the Frenchman’s normal behaviour in his day-to-day activities with something else. The report adds Aston Villa have other names on their list and Unai Emery is ‘not obsessed’ over signing Badé.

This has seen Aston Villa cool their interest and could walk away from the centre-back.

The game has started, and it could come down to one of the clubs softening their stance.
