Turkish website InternetHaber.Com have claimed Galatasaray are set to make a u-turn by trying to sign Manchester City defender Jason Denayer on a permanent deal.

The Belgian is currently on loan with the Turkish side, but reports last week suggested they wanted to send him back to Manchester City in the new year.

InternetHaber.Com say Denayer’s versatility has been praised by Galatasaray manager Igor Tudor, after playing in various defensive positions this season

After starting the Istanbul derby against Besiktas at left back, the Manchester City loanee is now expected to fill the right back spot, after an injury to Mariano.

Tudor has reportedly told the club’s board Denayer is hardworking and a versatile player, as his presence in the team brings more pros than cons.

The Galatasaray board are ready to commence talks with Manchester City officials in the coming weeks, but a deal is only likely if the English side aren’t asking for a big transfer fee.
