There’s a claim in the Turkish media Hull City attacker Abdülkadir Ömür could return to the Super Lig in the summer, with two Super Lig clubs said to be interested.
The 25-year-old looks surplus to requirements with the Championship side, and he spent the second half of the season on loan with Çaykur Rizespor. Ömür had issues in England and there were even reports he could walk away from football.
Kuzey Ekspres today report on the latest developments regarding the Hull City player’s future and state Kocaelispor and Samsunspor are showing interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Both Turkish clubs will be looking to bring in players for next season, but for different reasons. Samsunspor will be competing in Europe on after finishing third in the league, whilst Lig.1 champions Kocaelispor will be looking to consolidate their place in the Super Lig.
It’s claimed Ömür is keen to remain in his home country after his brief loan spell at Çaykur Rizespor and it seems unlikely he will return to Hull City.
Ömür made 21 appearances for Hull City last season and he’s contracted to the Tigers until June 2027.
