Chelsea’s efforts in appointing a successor for Antonio Conte are expected to take shape as Maurizio Sarri is likely to be announced as the new manager, if reports in Italy are to be believed.

Sarri is still tied to Napoli and the FA Cup winners had reached a deadlock in negotiations with the Serie A outfit in the past few weeks. The Blues were waiting for ‘definitive’ ok from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, according to Sky Italia.

They claim the contacts between Chelsea and Napoli have been positive and today can be the day when Sarri is given the green light to join the west London club. His arrival will see the English capital club part ways with Conte.

Sarri’s move to Stamford Bridge will also help Chelsea sign Napoli midfielder Jorginho. On Tuesday, we reported the Brazil-born Italy international can help the Premier League club to bring the 59-year-old manager to the club.

Sky Italia claims Jorginho is now close to joining Chelsea for a deal worth €65m, which accounts to €57m plus €8m in bonuses.

The English outfit and the Naples club have already reached an agreement and he has been the key for Chelsea to bring Sarri move to London.

Another Italian outlet CalcioNapoli24.it has also reported that Jorginho and Sarri are a step away from Chelsea. That’s two sources claiming the same thing about the midfielder and Sarri.

The player was in tears during his farewell dinner with his friends and relatives in Naples. The same outlet also mentions Sarri is set to replace Conte at the Blues’ bench.

Sarri’s and Jorginho’s fates are now tied to Chelsea, claims CalcioNapoli24.it and the announcement could be done soon.
