The Spanish media now brings some news on the race for Leicester City striker Ayoze Perez.
AS comes up to say that Real Betis and Roma, along with a bunch of French clubs, are all interested in the 29-year-old.
The focus in this particular battle is between the La Liga and the Serie A club, who can both try his purchase in January or wait for the end of his contract with Leicester City and sign him for free in the summer.
It’s said Betis are unlikely to land Perez this month for two reasons. Firstly, because Leicester City spent €35m to sign him in 2019 and would require a fee to sell him now. Secondly, because Roma have a bigger ‘economic potential’ to win a potential auction.
What lies on Betis’ side is the player’s wish, as his desire is said to be a return to Spain, even because he likes the idea of playing under Manuel Pellegrini, who previously tried to bring him to West Ham United.
However, with José Mourinho trying to bring Perez to Roma, that also turns to be an attractive option on the table. Especially for Leicester City, who may work to get a fee for his departure this month.
