Tottenham ‘will seek to release’ Bryan Gil in the January transfer window and Spanish sides Real Sociedad and Valencia are interested in a move.
That’s according to Fichajes, who say the forward is not a part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans, and his destiny could now lie in La Liga once again.
They explain that the La Liga duo are showing an interest in the Tottenham man and ‘will seek to acquire his services’ for the second part of this season.
Real Sociedad’s interest comes from rumours that Real Madrid are keen on star man Take Kubo, who could return to the Santiago Bernabeu and leave a huge hole in La Real’s side that will need to be filled.
Valencia, meanwhile, need to find a winger to replace Samuel Lino and remain firm fans of Bryan Gil after his successful loan spell at the club from Tottenham.
The idea for both clubs is to try to sign Gil on loan in January with a purchase option for the end of the season, with both considering the player as a potential ‘stellar signing’ who can lead the line and help them reach their objectives.
The question, though, is whether Tottenham will sanction a deal. This report came out before the news about Ivan Perisic.
The Croatian is now facing an extended spell on the sidelines, and it remains to be seen if that changes Spurs plans with Gil moving forwards.
He’s now lost a competitor on the left wing and perhaps will move up the ranking for Postecoglou, who has shown a willingness to give everyone a second chance since his arrival.
