Gabigol 2Chelsea are not going to be Gabigol’s destination, according to the very reliable journalist Paulo Vinícius Coelho.

PVC says the player’s choice will be made at the end of the Olympics, as four European giants are interested in him.

Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are the clubs who have making approaches. But for all of them, only Chelsea are ruled out by the journalist.

He says the player wants to go, as he feels ready to play the Champions League. However, Santos still need to accept one of the bids on offer, and there needs to be clarity about who gets what.

If we gather all of PVC’s information, it’s likely that Gabigol is snubbing Chelsea because he wants to play at a Champions League club for the next season. Maybe that’s a little unwise, given the club will likely return.

It would be no surprise if the real reason, if Gabigol’s negative responses are correct, is that he doesn’t fancy going out on loan.

Monday saw claims on Twitter that Globo Esporte reported a £15m Chelsea deal had been agreed for Gabigol, however, we couldn’t find anything on their website.

Gabigol has been said to have rejected Chelsea previously, and then had second thoughts about the situation… and now it’s claimed he’s rejected them again.

This is all in the period of a few weeks. It’s likely to change again very soon.
