Real Betis’ love for Pablo Fornals is continuing to grow, with the Spanish club delighted at the deal they secured to sign him from West Ham in January.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who profile the player today and how he is ‘a treasure repatriated’ following his move from West Ham at the end of the January transfer window.
They explain that Fornals ‘aroused great enthusiasm’ at Betis when his transfer was finally made official following a scare at the end of the window that threatened to see the agreed deal collapse.
Fornals has been proving that enthusiasm was justified since his arrival, showing ‘very interesting qualities’ and taking on a leading role under Manuel Pellegrini, who was the man key to the move after working with the player at West Ham.
He’s impressing individually but also helping to get the best out of the likes of Nabil Fekir, particularly with Isco out through injury.
It’s all positive as far as the club are concerned and his initial performances have created a growing belief that the €11m plus €6m the club paid to get him from West Ham will make him a ‘more than profitable signing’.
They’re more than happy with the deal they got and the player’s displays so far, with that nervous wait after the window closed to FIFA to ratify the deal having proven to be worth it so far.
