Rangers have been active in the winter market, with Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens already arriving at Ibrox. Danny Röhl’s side are still looking to bring in new faces to the club before the window closes.

VfL Wolfsburg’s Andreas Skov Olsen is another main target for Rangers this month. Three days ago, the German press first reported on the Ibrox club making contact to sign him.

Later that day, Bild reported Rangers are in negotiations with the Bundesliga side to sign the Denmark international on loan.

Wolfsburg want a loan fee and were in talks with Röhl’s side over that and a buying option. On Wednesday morning, Tipsbladet reported Rangers have agreed to their terms. They also stated the winger was scheduled to travel to Scotland.

Later that day, Bold pulled things back. They insisted the deal wasn’t in danger and it could go through this week. However, Skov Olsen didn’t travel yesterday because the two clubs were still sorting out the final details of the operation.

Sky Deutschland now pick up on that and provide a short but an important update on Rangers’ pursuit of the Dane.

According to them, Rangers have ‘reached a full agreement’ with the German club to sign the 26-year-old. The operation will be loan with an option to buy set at €10m.

The report explain Röhl was keen on bringing the attacker to Ibrox in January. According to Sky, Rangers have scheduled Skov Olsen’s medical on Thursday. This means the Scottish club will fulfil their manager’s big wish soon.

Skov Olsen has scored two goals from 465 minutes from 10 matches for Wolfsburg this season. He hasn’t made an appearance since November 7th. Therefore, the player would need some time to adapt and adjust at Ibrox.

Bold on Friday are also reporting Skov Olsen will travel to Scotland today. They add he will undergo medical examinations on Thursday or Friday. In short, his move to Ibrox should be completed in the next 24-48 hours.
