There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Beşiktaş want to sign a replacement for Aston Villa target Tammy Abraham.
The 28-year-old joined the Black Eagles on loan from AS Roma last summer and now they have an obligation to make it permanent for €13m.
Everton and Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa are all in the mix to sign Abraham. as they look to cash in on him. Villa are said to be leading the way.
Sporx report on the latest developments regarding Abraham’s Beşiktaş future, with Napoli’s Romelu Lukaku seen as a possible replacement.
The 32-year-old’s season has been plagued by injury and subsequently Beşiktaş have requested a health report from Napoli.
A final decision will be made once the Serie A side have disclosed his fitness situation. Also, with the form of Rasmus Højlund, the Belgium international may struggle to get in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven.
Again, Aston Villa’s interest in signing Abraham this month is reported. Villa’s pursuit for Abraham has also been confirmed by Beşiktaş president Serdal Adal, and that an offer has been tabled.
On personal terms, the Birmingham club have offered the centre forward around £4m a season after tax.
Aston Villa players in exchange
However, Adal has gone on record to say they would like Aston Villa players as part of the deal. Evann Guessand and Lamare Bogarde are reportedly on the Super Lig club’s radar.
Last week, there were reports Guessand had been offered as a part-payment, but his agent was quick to play this down.
Abraham spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Villa Park and impressed during his time there. He scored 26 goals in 46 games before returning to his parent club Chelsea. In 2021, he joined Jose Mourinho at Roma.
Since signing for Beşiktaş the Englishman has been among the goals, but it seems they want to cash in on him.
