There’s an interesting update in Sunday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport on Sofyan Amrabat’s future and a move to Manchester United.
The midfielder spent last season on an expensive loan at Old Trafford and whilst overall the move was a little disappointing, it did get better towards the end and was crowned with FA Cup victory.
For weeks there’s been insistence in Italy that Amrabat very much wants to return to Manchester United, with it his priority above everything else.
Corriere dello Sport reports Fiorentina would like to keep him, although they’ve accepted that won’t be happening so are waiting for a solution.
Amrabat is at home, away from La Viola training, also waiting for news.
Corriere dello Sport report there’s a formula Manchester United could now use. Rather than buying the midfielder, with figures last week putting a fee at around €12m, they could loan him again.
This time the redemption clause may be compulsory and perhaps will be around the figure above rather than €20m previously.
That would be a good move for Manchester United to sign a squad player who can’t get the club off his mind.
