Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici has approached former club Juventus about a move for midfielder West McKennie.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say he is keen to reunite with the American after taking him to Juventus last summer.

They explain that, after the arrival of Manuel Locatelli, McKennie could find himself on the transfer list, and Tottenham are keen to take advantage.

Paratici has already ‘knocked on the door’ of his successor Federico Cherubini to ‘verify the situation’ regarding the midfielder.

Tottenham don’t need to sign a midfielder; indeed, they want a striker, and so Paratici has reportedly proposed a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele instead.

He was a target for Juventus when was still playing at Lyon before joining Tottenham, and it seems Paratici wants to see if they’re still keen on him.

At the moment, it seems they’re a bit doubtful; with it explained, the Italian giants are the ones with the ‘most doubts’ about the deal at this point. Paratici and Cherubini are ‘discussing’ the deal, though.

The next few days will therefore be crucial to see if there is a deal to be done, and if there is, it could become a ‘clamorous last minute’ move.

If it doesn’t happen, Tottenham have interest in Ndombele from AC Milan, so they could pursue that track, although a swap with Juventus for McKennie is presented as more favourable for them.
