With a contract at Tottenham until 2025, Son Heung-min will soon have to make a decision about his long-term future.

The 30-year-old isn’t getting any younger, and while he is a key member at Spurs, he hasn’t exactly won a lot of silverware in London since joining.

Much like Harry Kane, the player wants to get a chance at lifting a few trophies before the end of his career, and that’s why rumours about a potential move to Real Madrid refuse to go away.

They’ve appeared here and there in the Spanish press, and they continue to circulate to this day, with Fichajes.net claiming that the La Liga side now know the price they will need to pay to get him.

The website state that taking into account everything around the South Korean star, Tottenham ‘would not let Son Heung-min go for less than €70m’.

It’s pointed out the player ‘would fit like a glove’ in Madrid, and while he might start off behind Karim Benzema or Vinicius Jr in the pecking order, his versatility could make him a key member of the club.

Not only that, but the Frenchman isn’t exactly getting younger either, and despite winning a Ballon d’Or this year, the 34-year-old could end up needing more rest, which Son’s arrival could help him with to get the best out of him for longer.

Either way, it appears Real Madrid will need €70m minimum if they are to try and sign the Tottenham star this summer.
