With the 2023/24 Portuguese League now over, it’s time for the transfer rumours which have been building up for months to turn into real moves in the market.
Newspaper Jornal de Notícias today features a story on some of the local players who may get a transfer, and as they talk about Evanilson, Tottenham Hotspur is named as a potential destination.
The outlet highlights that despite Porto’s disappointing season, the striker still managed to have the best numbers of his career so far, with 24 goals and six assists in 41 appearances.
Now Tottenham are alongside the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for the 24-year-old.
Porto seem to be aiming high when negotiating his sale, as it’s said they could ‘guarantee’ a €100m ‘jackpot’ with him.
We must say that sounds a little too ambitious, as those clubs surely have other options in the market for that price, including Viktor Gyokeres.
Still, it’s interesting to see Tottenham named as a contender for another striker, while Evanilson prepares to play the Copa America for Brazil next month.
