Tottenham unlikely to bid for player heavily linked with Spurs – Levy clearly going for younger targets

With the rumours linking FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi to a Tottenham Hotspur move clearly fading out, we now see reports saying Spurs may actually not be that interested in that signing.

It’s journalist Sacha Tavolieri who shares a story about the player today, highlighting that the Dragons turned down Inter Milan’s first €30m bid for his transfer.

Speaking of Tottenham, the reporter makes it very clear that there has been ‘no contact’ between Porto and Spurs so far.

It’s claimed that even though Harry Kane may leave the Premier League side, Taremi is still not their first choice, as Daniel Levy has other names on his list.

As for the negotiations between Porto and Milan, the Dragons continue to demand €30m for the striker, and further talks are expected soon.

Earlier today, we’ve seen reports from Italy claiming that despite the recent links with Taremi, Tottenham may actually get interested in signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, with Levy planning a bid for a loan with an option to buy.

The fact is that there had been a big race for centre forwards in the market, and Spurs seem about to join that.
