Earlier on Thursday, we covered an article in Sport explaining Tottenham would be ‘willing to pay’ €45m for Real Madrid’s Isco, even if it wasn’t really a bargain considering how little he is playing under Zidane at the moment.
Well, Corriere dello Sport make it clear Daniel Levy’s club aren’t the only ones interested in the Spanish playmaker, as AC Milan also have their sights on him as they look to bolster their squad, backed by Chinese investment.
The Italian newspaper explain the Spaniard is one of three options, alongside Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas and Fiorentina’s Milan Badelj as Vincenzo Montella is looking to add a superstar to his squad, having missed out on many targets over the summer.
Before you suggest the Serie A club wouldn’t be able to afford the Tottenham target, Corriere say ‘think again’ as they claim the investors would be willing to part with a big chunk of the €100m pot as soon as January.
AC Milan aren’t messing about these days, or, at least, so they would have you believe.
It’s worth keeping an eye out on what might develop from this over the coming weeks as Vincenzo Montella has already made it rather clear Fabregas isn’t the man for him.
