Over the past few days, it appears that those around Sofyan Amrabat are working overtime to get their client a new club.
One of the teams mentioned as interested are Tottenham, who will need to do some work with their squad this summer after the arrival of Ange Postecoglou.
The former Celtic manager will undoubtedly want to reshape some of the work done by Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici, with Amrabat among those targeted, according to what Foot Mercato are stating on Friday when reporting that Xavi has already spoken to the Morocco international about a transfer to Barcelona.
With Fiorentina’s season now over after losing the Conference League final to West Ham United, some transfers will be able to take place, such as the midfielder’s.
For that to happen, clubs will need to make a bid ‘superior to €25-30m’, which is money Tottenham will most likely have despite not qualifying for a European competition next season.
Spurs are said to be trying to ‘overtake the competition’ in the race for Amrabat, and they could have an advantage when you take into account the state of Barcelona’s finances.
That being said, Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich are also sniffing around, meaning some more wealthy clubs will provide competition to Tottenham.
