Tuttosport have a big Sunday feature on Juventus’ possible moves in the summer transfer market. The Turin newspaper look at incomings and outgoings, and for defenders it’s a complicated matter.

Benedikt Howedes finishes his loan from Schalke, Leonardo Spinazzola returns from a loan to Atalanta but is injured for six months, Kwadwo Asamoah and Stephan Lichsteiner sees their contracts end, and Alex Sandro is again said to be of interest to others.

That sees Juventus looking at several defensive options, both centrally and at fullback, and for the middle there’s a surprise mention given to Toby Alderweireld.

The Tottenham defender hasn’t agreed a renewal at the club and an exit is at least half expected. Juventus haven’t been one of the clubs most linked with the Belgium, yet Tuttosport put the chance of a deal at 50%, which sounds rather high.

Alderweireld has been more linked with Manchester United, Barcelona and PSG but the latter two haven’t really had their supposed interest much covered in either Spain or France.

A decision will need to be made at Tottenham this summer, given the player’s contract situation.
