Earlier this month, it was reported that Tottenham Hotspur would be willing to offer €35m for Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.
There was an indication that Spurs’ interest was making the Italian champions consider selling the midfielder.
InterLive have now refuted the talk of Tottenham being willing to make that offer, but they do back up interest from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
They report that Spurs could look to sign the Italy international on a loan deal. Inter would not be happy with an offer like that, unless Tottenham have an obligation to buy attached for the summer.
They want to make sure that Spurs pay a fee of around €35m, which is what the Nerazzurri had paid to sign the 25-year-old from Sassuolo in 2023.
Tottenham want to ‘tighten their grip’ over Frattesi and as a result, they are willing to offer him a wage upgrade on what he earns at Inter. They are also keen to make an attempt early in 2025 in an attempt to beat competition, with the outlet stating that there is interest from other clubs in Italy as well.
