On Sunday, a story started spreading in Italy claiming that Tottenham were interested in signing Juventus’ Bremer, with Tuttosport continuing it on Monday.
The Brazilian defender arrived last summer from Torino for €41m, and quickly became an important player in Max Allegri’s plans.
He did well despite Juventus faltering as a whole on and off the pitch, and that’s why Tottenham, now managed by Ange Postecoglou, are looking at him.
Still, that doesn’t mean any sort of transfer will be easy, as Juventus aren’t overly keen on losing him a year after his arrival, and will need to make some money from sales this summer.
That’s why Tuttosport make it very clear that ‘there is no discussion for less than €80m’ when it comes to the Brazilian.
Considering Tottenham have never spent that much money on a player before, that would be new territory for Daniel Levy, whose most expensive acquisition remains Tanguy Ndombélé at €62m.
One to keep an eye on, but it appears that Spurs are about to be priced out of a deal for Bremer.
