Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the latest club to show interest in Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi.

That’s according to Tutto Juve. The Italian website throw Tottenham into the mix today in a report about Juventus’ plans to get the Argentine.

Senesi is set to be a free agent in the summer transfer window. His current deal at Bournemouth expires at that point and he’s yet to sign an extension. That’s alerted clubs all over Europe.

Sport Witness have covered various reports on the matter for months. Manchester United reportedly made a call in January, before Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Everton entered the mix earlier this month.

Juventus, though, are the ones pushing themselves to the front of the queue. A report yesterday stated that they are getting serious for the Bournemouth defender.

Juventus ‘get serious’

Tutto Juve add to that with heir own information. The website reports that Juventus are ‘moving forward’ to get Senesi ahead of growing competition.

According to their information, the Italian giants are planning to meet with Senesi’s agents between this weekend and the beginning of next weekend. They are ‘working to stay ahead’ of the competition.

Borussia Dortmund are the ones they’re particularly concerned. The German side are the last club to ‘show a real interest’. But the Premier League is particularly keen.

Tottenham join the queue

Tutto Juve then throw the Premier League names into their report. They say Brighton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham are all in the mix. Sport Witness have covered all of those before, except Tottenham.

But the latest interest adds to the growing number of central defenders linked with Tottenham in recent weeks.

They appear settled for now, but Cristian Romero is pushing for a move, while Micky van de Ven also seems to be considering an exit.  Radu Dragusin has long been unhappy with his status as well.

That could mean they need a new centre-back in the summer. Senesi would make sense given he’ll be available on a free and has Premier League experience. Juventus certainly see Spurs are competition either way.
